烧伤整形外科专科，是学科的起始专业之一，继抗美援朝战伤中心（1951年）之后，张涤生院士1961年在瑞金医院开展了烧伤病人的整复治疗，参与邱才康95%烧伤的救治，在80年代，即成为我们最主要的烧伤整形中心之一，目前已累积完成10余万例的诊治。
2015年原三院与九院的合并，三院的烧伤整形外科并入九院整复外科，壮大了烧伤整形外科。近年来随着疾病谱的变化，救治主要目标包括了烧伤和难愈性创面修复，并开展了一些开拓性工作：在创面修复机理研究的基础上，结合临床观察，在慢性创面的病理机制方面有了新的探索；通过调理创面局部的免疫状态、改善细胞代谢、重建血液供应及回流、矫正不良结构、训练新生皮肤的环境适应性等措施，以解决疑难杂症。在烧伤早、中、后期修复重建，慢性创面综合修复，疤痕治疗，体表肿瘤切除后的修复等领域具备领先的技术优势。目前该专科主任为杨军主任。烧伤外科主任：倪涛。
The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Shanghai Ninth Hospital was built in the 80s by N.A Ti Sheng Chang, who launched the reconstructive treatments of burn patients in Rui Jin Hospital in 1961. He was also in charge of burn patient Caikang Qiu after he left The Korean War Medical Center (in 1951). It became one of the main burn and plastic surgery centers and has successfully completed over 1000,000 diagnosis and treatments.
In the year of 2015, the Department of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery of the Ninth Hospital expanded by merging with the department of plastic surgery of the Shanghai Third Hospital during the amalgamation of two hospitals.
In recent years, with the changing disease spectrum, the main treatment targets include burn and refractory wound repair, and some pioneering work has been carried out. On the basis of wound repair mechanism research, combined with clinical observation, new exploration has been made on the pathological mechanism of chronic wound. By regulating the local immune state of the wound, improving cell metabolism, reconstructing blood supply and reflux, correcting the poor structure, training the environmental adaptability of new skin and other measures, to solve the difficult and complicated diseases. The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of Shanghai Ninth Hospital has a leading technical advantage in the early, mid-term and terminal stage of repair and reconstruction of burns, comprehensive repair of chronic wounds, treatment of blisters, and post-resection repair of superficial tumors.
